Our Sections

The Scouting Movement is opened for all young people aged 6 - 26 across 5 sections: Joey Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturer Scouts and Rover Scouts. These are aged-based with each section assuming more responsibility for their own progress and activities. All Sections share a steady diet of self-respect, confidence, leadership, teamwork, creativity, environmental awareness and community involvement, and there are plenty of events and activities in which everyone can get involved together. Victoria Point is lucky to have in operation all 5 sections with a steady team of hard-working volunteer Leaders who ensure the programs are run effectively and efficiently with an emphasis on upholding the Aims and Principles of Scouting in a fun filled environment.

Youth Members

Each of the Sections within Scouts Australia is based around a child's age and have activities and programs to suit that particular age group. The breakdown of our Sections are as follows:

Leaders and Adults in Scouting

Leaders and Adult Volunteers are the backbone of Scouting and its continued success in the community. As a Leader you will have access to a wide variety of resources, an opportunity to give back to the community, and the experience to educate Youth Members in the values and skills most important to become a good citizen in the community.
As a Leader you will achieve satisfaction from helping Youth Members set and achieve their own goals, while being there to help them when they fail and encourage them to continue. In addition, the Scout Association of Australia is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Australia and as such offer each Leader the opportunity to gain the following nationally-recognised qualifications as he/she completes their Leadership Training:
